Behold - the half hour project that will have you pulling an Oprah - You get a pair of mittens, you get a pair of mittens and YOU GET A PAIR OF MITTENS!
Start out by cutting out your pieces.
Next up - put your back pieces together, and sew GOOD SIDE TO GOOD SIDE - just where the thumb is :) see the photo below
Turn them right side out - and trim any threads or excess fabric.
Then line up your front to your back, and sew them together! Be careful not to catch your thumb in the seam.

Next up - trim around the edges, nice and close to the stitching. Then you will need to cut some cuffs for your mittens. The measurements are 2 rectangles - 7.5 inches x 8 inches. You want to choose a fabric that has lots of stretch. I chose a double brushed poly I had scraps of.

Fold them in half (they'll be 4x7.5" folded) and sew down the long edge. For this you'll want to use a zig zag stitch
Fold into a cuff, and drop into your mitten. Sew all the way around the cuff and VOILA! you have mittens :) don't forget to tag us on social media - using #justsewit #rebeccamunn we LOVE seeing what you come up with!
